To compliment our primary business, we feel it is essential to provide high-quality powder coat and stove enamel finishing services.

For many years GNJ has been powder coating its own products. However, in 1996, we decided to upgrade our paint plant to cope with growing demand and to meet the needs of our customers, who increasingly expect the quality of finish normally associated with stove enamelling. The general quality of our finishing has always been good, but we needed to produce instrument finishes so essential to front panels and other items of electronic equipment.

Accordingly, in consultation with Nordson UK and Maywick Ltd, we instituted a major refit of the powder coating facility, radically altering the layout and installing a conveyorised gas-radiant oven with a two metre heatzone, which is perfect for flat panel work. Castings and irregular shapes can be catered for in our 2.5m square box oven.

In 1999, the system was upgraded again. We moved into larger premises, expanded the heatzone of the conveyorised oven to four metres and installed a VM55 pressure blast cabinet, for pretreatment and to provide a uniform, decorative finish on non-ferrous materials.

We are delighted with the new layout and the results achieved. The new system is clean, highly efficient, cost effective and environmentally friendly. As a result, we are able to offer a first-class product with a prompt turnaround.
